My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home.  Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion.

A note to those looking at CPR.  We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone.  Our job is to find those someone's.  Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog.  They come to us because they want to give a dog a home.  We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture.  While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face.  Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home.  We want to create furever families.

Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today.  We'll update as more information is known.

Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days?  If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application.  You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side.  You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available.

Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes?  Please drop a note to applications@carolinapoodlerescue.org with your name, address and phone # and email.  We'll add you to our mailing list.

thanks

Date into Rescue:  09/22/24
Reason for being in rescue:  Owner release/owner has returned to the workplace and does not feel like she can give him the life he wants
Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC
Special Needs? Reese is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Reese is a miniature aussie-doodle. We cannot guarantee that she won't shed or that she is hypoallergenic.
Weight: 28.4 lbs.
Height: 17 in at the shoulder est
Spayed/Neutered: Yes

Adoption Fee: $599

Fence needed? No, but a fence is a great safety feature for any dog.

What kind of home would be best for me? Reese would prefer a furry friend by her side. She's looking for an adopter who can spend plenty of time at home, as she loves being around her people. While she's already got some walking skills, Reese would benefit from a little leash training to help her learn proper manners. Basic command such as sit, stay, down, and come are also on her To-Do list, and she's eager to learn!

Reese is versatile and would fit into various living situations, whether you are a single person, a couple, or a family. If you have children she would do best in a home with kids aged 8 and up, where she can join in the fun and games. She will need a house as apartments may be too small for her. While a fence isn't a strict requirement, it would certainly be a wonderful space for her to romp, play, and burn off her abundant energy.

What is my personality like? Say hello to Reese, a charming Aussie-doodle with a heart as big as her fluffy coat! This lovable girl is a social butterfly who thrives on human companionship. She eagerly greets everyone she meets, ready to shower them with love and affection. If you don't respond quickly enough to her adorable advances, expect a playful jump and heartfelt hug - she's just letting you know she's ready for some quality time with you!

Reese is pure sunshine, guaranteed to fill your days with joy and laughter. She playful spirit and affectionate demeanor will bring warmth to you home and smiles to your faces. Reese's love for people is boundless! Although she hasn't had much interaction with other dogs yet, she has a buddy named Titus who follows her everywhere. This dynamic means Reese is still figuring out how to play and interact with other pups.

How do I act when I first meet new people? When meeting new people, Reese can't contain her excitement! She'll rush over, ready to greet you with enthusiastic jumps and hugs. While is affectionate habit is endearing, we'll work on teaching him to keep all four paws on the ground when greeting new friends.

Other tips and tidbits: Reese was born on 1/19/2022. Reese arrived in rescue with Titus.  Titus depends on his sister.  They are not bonded and do not have to be adopted together, but if you are considering a friend, Reese has a built in one.

House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule if a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Please note - we do not ship dogs.  If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip.  Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina.

To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application.

Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home.   You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc.  Others here may be a better fit for you.  It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description.  Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a  dog not in our listings yet.  We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you.

Thank you for considering CPR.
