My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Peanut Butter, the sweet and scruffy Terrier mix who is sure to stick to you like her name suggests! At 2 years old and weighing 28 pounds, she’s the perfect combination of cuddle buddy and playful companion.

This friendly girl is happiest when she’s right by your side, soaking up all the love and attention you can give. She’s been through a lot recently but is bouncing back with the help of tasty treats (which she loves!) and cozy snuggle sessions. Peanut Butter sleeps soundly with her foster family’s son and is learning how to play with her foster dog siblings, though she prefers calmer playmates. While roughhousing can intimidate her, she enjoys short bursts of play and loves curling up next to other dogs for a nap.

Peanut Butter is almost house-trained, crate-trained (with a bit of initial barking), and walks nicely on a leash. She knows "sit" and is working on mastering "shake"—her smarts paired with her love for treats makes her a fast learner. She’s great with kids, other dogs (big and small), and even cats. This adaptable little lady would do well in any home that can offer her plenty of love and affection.

Whether she’s laying at your feet chewing on a bone or playing fetch with a tennis ball, Peanut Butter is always content as long as she’s close to her people. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and playful pup to complete your family, look no further than Peanut Butter—she’s ready to melt your heart! Her minimum adoption fee is $295 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.

She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
