My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Guess who loved the recent hurricanes?

PIPER DID!

This sweet puppy loves absolutely everything, but you can guarantee she will be out playing in the yard if it's raining Her foster home had a flooded yard after the storms and she spent days splashing around in it. Piper absolutely LOVES the outdoors. She would spend ALL of her time outside if she could

Piper is a roughly 10 month old Poodle mix who was once tied to the shelter fence overnight and had wrist surgery. She LIVES for other dogs and needs a canine best friend who will run and wrestle with her. She's a high energy rough player, but doesn't have a mean bone in her body. She's a perfect doggy daycare dog.

She's affectionate, aims to please and is very food motivated. She's about 40lbs now, but is growing like a weed and has super long legs. She has stick straight hair and a very low maintenance coat that barely grows.

If you have a fun dog that wants a bestie or you are an adventurer with a way to socialize her with other dogs, please send us an app for Piper! She is in Tampa.

More about this rescue

We are a non-breed specific dog rescue group, although we do tend to take in mostly large and extra-large breeds, and especially those in the hunting / sporting groups.

Love for Paws exists to protect and advocate for dogs in our community through responsible adoption, the donation of supplies and veterinary care to those in need, by assisting in the effort to limit the overpopulation of these animals and by promoting kindness and healthy opportunity for life.
