My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Remember sweet Piper?

About a month and a half ago, this sweet puppy was tied to the shelter fence in the middle of the night. Staff found her at 7:00am, injured and alone and thankfully called us. She was likely hit by a car, had an injured leg and fractured pelvis, but was always sweet as pie

She had surgery to fix her leg and wore a splint for 3 weeks, which is hard on a puppy, but she did it! Her leg healed, she's been spayed and is now ready to find her people.
Piper LOVES other dogs and is super dog friendly. Her favorite thing is running with her dog friends in the backyard and copying their every move. She would be a great dog to take to dog friendly places and socialize with people and other dogs. She's a super sweet girl who loves everyone she meets

Piper is around 8-9 months old and a tall lanky 30-35lbs Poodle mix puppy, possibly a Labradoodle. We think she will fill out to 50-60lbs, but will always be a tall skinny girl. She walks great on a leash, is great in her crate and is mostly house trained, but does have accidents as all puppies her age do. She needs someone who works from home or is home more often than not. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. Her adoption fee is $450 and she is in Tampa.

We are so excited to help her find her forever home!

More about this rescue

We are a non-breed specific dog rescue group, although we do tend to take in mostly large and extra-large breeds, and especially those in the hunting / sporting groups.

Love for Paws exists to protect and advocate for dogs in our community through responsible adoption, the donation of supplies and veterinary care to those in need, by assisting in the effort to limit the overpopulation of these animals and by promoting kindness and healthy opportunity for life.
