My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet sweet 5 year old Nova! She is currently with FOBCAS rescue after being the longest resident at BCAS. She has been in a foster home since 10/23 so we know lots about her. She is crate trained, house broken, thrives on a routine, knows lots of commands, treat motivated, a people pleaser, loves stuffies, loves people of all ages, has lived in a home with children under 6. She sounds perfect right? Why isn't she adopted you ask? She needs to be the Queen of her castle, and is reactive to dogs on a leash. Her foster family has been working on her leash manners, and she can heel and sit on command while on a walk. Her foster family will show her new family how she should be walked. She should have a privacy fenced yard, and a dog savvy family. Most of the time this sweet girl is very chill and she just wants to relax in a quiet environment near her people. As a bonus you will have continuous support from her foster family and a free dog sitter when you go on vacation. Please give this girl a chance. Any questions email her foster mom at jmo94pjo@gmail.com

Additional adoption info

For our dogs, we are a foster-based organization that primarily helps our county government-operated shelter with surrender diversion, i.e. owners rehoming pets, help with behavior issues, etc. In September 2023 we opened a cat adoption center that supports the effort to keep more cats out of the shelter.
