For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
Kylie is a transformation story, and her physical change is so powerful. But her fighting spirit has always been there. Even in her roughest shape, she tippy tapped her excitement (her foster family even calls her Tippy) and she has always been kind and friendly. Although she had to learn to play with toys and other dogs, she figured it out quickly and finds joy every day playing with her foster brother and going on her daily walk. Kylie came potty trained and is crate trained and despite being starved and on the streets for so long, she shows no food aggression. She loves all dogs, people (even kids!), but beware. Kylie does enjoy her nightly "Tippy Time with foster mom on her dog bed where she gets a good massage and even lets her rub balm on her feet. Kylie is an absolute miracle of a dog and is one that leaves a mark on the heart of anyone who is lucky enough to meet her.
Beautiful, sweet, grateful Kylie was found severely dehydrated, anemic and emaciated. Her condition indicated she had been suffering for quite some time. She was immediately brought to the ER to be monitored and treated. Though weak, she showed signs of hope, wagging her tail and eager to eat.
All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.
