My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chandler came to us earlier this year when he was just about 8 weeks old. He was in an adoptive home for a few months, however he is now back in our care and looking for a fur-ever home! As a puppy he was great with people, super food motivated, house trained very easily, very appropriate with other dogs, and very mouthy when he gets excited.
Since then, other than his size, not much has changed!

He is still a very loving and kind boy. He gets very excited and has a lot of energy to burn! He loves attention from people as well as other dogs. He does need more work on his basic manners, he likes to jump up on you and can be very mouthy. He is highly food motivated and will work for the treats, this makes training a lot easier! For someone who has experience training dogs, he will pick up on behaviors and tricks very easily.

Other Dogs: Well matched, Yes
Cats: Unknown
Kids: Yes but older 14+
Apartment: Maybe
Walks: Loves them!
New People: Yes, use treats and he is your new best friend!

More about this shelter

Want to adopt a pet and give them a forever home? We're thrilled! Our pro-adoption shelter places 200 to 300 dogs and small animals every year with families and homes that best meet the needs of the animals.

We have dogs of all ages, from newborn puppies to senior dogs. While puppies are popular, older dogs can be great pets, too. They are smart and grateful companions that won't leave you with puppy puddles or chewed-up slippers. Why not enrich your life and that of an older dog?

We also adopt out small animals including rabbits, hamsters, birds, rats, guinea pigs, and sometimes reptiles.
