My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 6 years
Weight: 4.3 kg

Say hello to the sweet, silly Koko! Initially when you first bring her home, you may not see her much; new places and people are very overwhelming to her. But don't let her shy demeanor fool you, Koko is actually a mischievous and affectionate cat that would love to have lots of playtime, lots of cuddles, and plenty of enrichment! Koko has lived with another cat before, so may do well with another feline friend to play with. With her long, fluffy fur, it is necessary to provide extra grooming to help keep her coat tangle free! Want to learn more about her? Than make an appointment and meet Koko!

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
