Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is simple. If you are interested in one of our wonderful animals, come meet them. You will talk with one of our shelter attendants to assess the right fit for your family. The adoption fee for dogs is $40 and $25 for cats. If the animal you are interested in has not yet been spayed or neutered, we will get the pet altered before you take him or her home. If the animal is too young or you have come a long way to pick him or her up, you can pay a Spay/Neuter deposit, which will be refunded once the required paperwork has been submitted to our admin office by the deadline date.

More about this shelter

Mono County Animal Services handles field service calls for domestic animal-related issues in the unincorporated areas of Mono County, CA, in addition to running two very successful animal shelters, the Whitmore Shelter and the Bridgeport Shelter. We are extremely proud of our high adoption rates. Being a low intake facility gives us the ability to relieve overcrowded shelters by accepting transfers throughout California and Nevada to find them homes in our wonderful communities. We pride ourselves on our care of the shelter animals. Each animal is treated like it is one of our own, with personal attention, care, and love every day.
