My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

With a name like “Hope” you just know there is a story to go with it! My foster family says that I came to the shelter on July 1st at just 1 day old. They were understandably very worried about me and “hoped” that I would survive. Well, their prayers were answered and I not only survived but I thrived! I am now a young, female kitten that loves to play, is very social, loves to explore, and is just soooo cute! I like to be around people and when tired I enjoy being picked up and snuggled. I am up to date on vaccines, am spayed, microchipped, and litter box trained. My “hope” is to join a family that has a young cat that is looking for a new friend to play with. I will miss wrestling with the other foster kittens that I grew up with but am looking forward to finding my forever home! Will that home be with you?

The process is quite simple! Please stop by and see for yourself. All animals are spayed/neutered, dewormed, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to going home.

Tuesday - Saturday:10:00 am - 6:00 pm
Sunday: 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

More about this shelter

We are a non-profit open intake shelter that serves all of East Baton Rouge parish. We strive to improve the lives of abandoned, unwanted and abused animals in our parish. We house approximately 400 animals at any given time. We take in 20-30 new animals a day. We are always in need of fosters both short and long term, donations, and volunteers.
