Alfie is a 1 year old loveable, funny, spunky Dachshund mix who weighs about 30lbs. This little boy was found on the streets with his slightly older fellow Dachshund mix companion, Louie, before they were taken in by a sweet family who brought them to us.
Since being here, Alfie's big personality has really started to shine through! He is quite the lover and just wants to be right with you and give you kisses all day. He's a cuddler and a lounger and while he does have more energy and playfulness than his companion, Louie, his play bursts are still pretty brief! Alfie loves to roll around in the dirt and grass to get those hard to reach itchy spots, as seen in his photos. He is very proud of himself for figuring this out and does it almost daily!
Another special thing about this boy is his big boy barks. He likes to sound off if he hears or sees something out of the ordinary with a giant "WOOOOWOOOOWOO" or two!
Alfie does well around other dogs, kids, and people of all kinds but he does not require a doggy companion to live his happiest life. He is very people oriented and would prefer to be the center of attention. Alfie is also very food motivated and can be quite clever! He is already crate and potty trained and knows his name!

•If local, do a meet and greet with the dog. If out of state, further discuss the dog's personality, how we think they'd do in your specific home environment, etc

•Sign adoption contract and pay adoption fee
•Take your new family member home! (If out of state, transport will be arranged at a time and date convenient to you)
