My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, I'm Blue. I've got a heart as big as my personality. I'm a friendly, gentle soul, loyal to a fault. I love a good game of fetch, but I'm just as happy exploring on my own. I can be a bit of a goofball, which I'm told is part of my charm. I'm mellow, too, and I like to take my time getting to know new people. I'm a bit shy, but don't let that fool you. I'm smart and quick to learn. I just need a little patience and time to show you my true colors. I promise, I'm worth the wait. Why should you adopt me? Because I'm not just a pet, I'm a companion. I'll be there to greet you when you come home, to play when you're up for it, and to just hang out when you're not. I'll be your loyal friend, if you'll be mine.

Additional adoption info

Adopters must be at least 19 years old.

If you rent, you must have permission from your landlord and pet fees must be paid in advance.

If adopting into a family, we require all members of the family to be in agreement about adopting. For families that already include another dog, we typically require a meet and greet; this may be hosted on the GHHS property, or at the potential adopter's home.

Some animals may require a home inspection.

Verification of current pet(s) vaccine/vet records.
