My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*** Peanut is in a foster home. ***

Gray/brown/black tabby & white, short hair, neut. male, born approx. 10/11/23, #18901

Cats: great!
Dogs: comfortable
Children: older kids likely fine

BACKGROUND: Peanut was a kitten when he found himself in an Orange County animal care center; they reached out to The Rescue House for help. Peanut had some medical concerns that needed evaluation: despite his youthful age, he has cataracts in both eyes. He requires twice-daily eye drops with an inexpensive prescription. His slight head tilt was determined to not need treatment and was likely due to a past ear injury. Peanut can still see and certainly doesn't let anything slow him down!

PERSONALITY: Peanut is a flopper! He'll flop down whenever and wherever he feels like it... be it the middle of the hall, next to you on the couch (his most favorite - it's closer to you!) or anywhere that's convenient when the floppy mood strikes his fancy. He's a playful young boy and will often self-entertain with toys or find another kitty to indulge him. Peanut is very sweet and he loves to be petted and get attention; he'll grab your hand when getting belly rubs and put his mouth on your hand but not apply any pressure. His head tilt just makes him look like he's hanging on to your every word! (Hoping it'll be "what a good boy".) While his vision is impaired, it doesn't limit him from living a full kitty life.

COMPATIBILITY: Peanut fosters with multiple cats of varying ages and gets along with everyone. He gets along fine with the smaller cat-savvy dog. He hasn't met any children but we think he would do well with respectful older kids who will understand his eye concerns and not be bothered by his mouthing on hands.

Peanut is a floppy darling. Will he flop his way into your heart?
