Tatum, otherwise known as the Velvet Bunny is easy to love & a joy to be around. He is adored by everyone he meets & his resilience has amazed us all. He is happiest sitting with his people, chewing on a benebone & receiving some belly rubs. Tatum is what I call a playful couch potato. He has some energy & gets excited when greeting the people he loves, but he is also always down for a nap. He is affectionate, curious, silly & eager to please. Tatum is truly happy to love & be loved. After everything he has been through, his pure, sweet soul has not changed.

Tatum was part of a cruelty case & spent 400+ days at CACC, so he is still learning how to "dog". He is a cuddler & likes to be all up in your business. Tatum is a delicate guy & the outside world can be a bit overwhelming for him, which is more than understandable. He is getting used to walking on grass & the everyday loud noises. He can get mouthy when overstimulated, but can be redirected with high value treats. Tatum has a prey drive, specifically with small dogs & animals. He will require further training, patience & understanding.

Tatum hasn't had it easy, but he is ready to move on from his old life & receive lots of love & care a kind, gentle & committed family. I do believe he would benefit from a yard with a privacy fence due to his prey drive. I'm not sure that he would love the busy, city life either. Tatum is more of a quiet, suburb guy. Small children would overwhelm him, but he has done great meeting new people. Tatum deserves to feel safe, comfortable & unconditionally loved during this next chapter of life.
