My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ducky is a stunning calico with soft fur and large, expressive eyes that will melt your heart. This sweet girl is extremely shy and requires a calm and quiet environment where she can feel safe and secure. Ducky does well with gentle, calm children who understand her need for space and patience. While she’s a bit petrified of dogs—no matter how calm they are—Ducky is perfectly fine with other cats as long as they’re not bullies. She thrives in a peaceful setting and enjoys the company of calm, older feline friends.

Ducky absolutely loves to be petted, especially when she feels comfortable, and she prefers to be around people who allow her to come out of her shell at her own pace. This sweet girl has a penchant for hiding in drawers and enjoys exploring at night when she feels most adventurous. If you’re looking for a loving companion who will thrive in a serene home with calm humans and gentle older cats, Ducky is ready to bring her unique charm and soft cuddles into your life!

Additional adoption info

Adoption Process
We have an open adoption policy, so there is no application or interview process. We simply ask that you meet the pet in person before adoption. We have adoption specialists that will help you find the right pet for your family.

Adoption Center
The Adoption Center is located at 7500 N. Western Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73116. Our Adoption Center is a totally new concept in Oklahoma City where dogs have comfortable, expanded kennels and cats stay in “living rooms” with furniture and toys.

Pets by Appointment
Some amazing dogs get stressed out in a kennel environment like our Adoption Center, and much prefer staying at their foster home until they find their new family. If you see a dog on our website that says “E-Mail to Meet Me” that means that this furry friend is just a click away from getting a ride to the Adoption Center to meet you in person.

Adoption Fees
Adult dogs are $150 to adopt, puppies are $200 to adopt, adult cats are $75 to adopt and kittens are $95 to adopt. All of our pets are microchipped, spayed or neutered, treated with all age-appropriate vaccinations and flea, tick, and heartworm preventative prior to being cleared for adoption, so we put a lot of effort and monetary investment into each of our animals including a two-week quarantine period in a foster home. These adoption fees help cover the costs of our animals’ health and well-being!
