Meet Polly Pocket, a sweet 2-year-old, 18 lb Pug with a lighter coat and a heart full of love! Recently surrendered, Polly is starting to discover the joys of leash walks, car rides, and fun adventures - things she hadn’t experienced much before. Though still learning, Polly is embracing her new life and enjoys kids and the company of other dogs, as long as they respect her space. She just needs time to get comfortable before she's ready for face-to-face doggy interactions. Polly is incredibly snuggly with her people, making those signature Pug snorts when she's content and getting all the love she deserves. She’s well on her way to adjusting to the pampered life she deserves and will be the perfect companion in her forever home!

PLEASE NOTE: All your current pets must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention to adopt from Polka Dogz. We only adopt in Florida. All adoption fees go to help all the dogs in the rescue, some of which require extensive medical care. Thank you for caring for the greater good. FIRST step is to fill out a pre adoption application (www.polkadogz.org). We check vet references, personal references and do home visits before adopting any pet. We also help match the right pet to the right home. All current pets in household must be spayed/neutered and on heartworm prevention (very important)
Adoption fees help us support all the dogs in our rescue, some of which cost thousands in medical bills. Thank you for caring about the greater good!

More about this rescue

We strive to educate the public on responsible pet ownership. We rescue many dogs with heartworms, injuries nad those who have been victims of severe neglect and/or abuse. Maverick is a perfect example. He is paralyzed and we work daily with him to hopefully help him walk again.
