Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Pepper is eagerly looking for her forever home! This lovable 2-year-old sweetheart weighs 53 pounds and is a delightful mix, likely a combination of Husky and Australian Shepherd. With a coat as soft as a bunny, she adores belly rubs and cuddling with everyone in her foster home.
Pepper enjoys chewing on her bones and occasionally barks, though she’s not as chatty as a typical Husky. She loves spending time outdoors, happily watching birds and squirrels from her yard. While she gets along well with other dogs, she would also thrive as the only dog in the household. To keep her safe and happy, Pepper requires a physically fenced yard where she can run and play freely.
Rescued as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in Missouri, Pepper arrived with a lump on her throat. A veterinary visit revealed a damaged salivary gland that needed attention. After undergoing surgery at Iowa State University Lloyd Veterinary Medical Center, she’s on the mend. She also tested positive for Lyme disease but has since received treatment and is ready to find her new family.
If you’re looking for a playful and affectionate companion, Pepper might just be the perfect addition to your life!
Pepper is house trained, kennel trained, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped.
