My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

HELP US PREVENT EUTHANASIA: Cesar is a 8-year-old, neutered, Mastiff mix who weighs 95-pounds.

OWNER SURRENDER NOTES:
*Reason: Household member is pregnant
*Friendly and loves people
*Knows sit and catches treats in the air
*Outside during the day on a `chain`, inside at night

If he does not find a foster, adopter, or rescue it devastates us to know that this is an outcome that he will face. We are enlisting the help of the community to help find him the very best possible outcome because Cesar deserves it!

SHELTER COMMENTS:
*Well mannered in kennel!
Meet Cesar, a magnificent gentle giant tipping the scales at 95 pounds of pure heart! We would like to note that this gentle giant does not jump on people and walks well on a leash with moderate pulling (when excited). With a heart as big as the size of Texas, this easygoing canine revels in the warmth of the sunshine, finding joy in every sunbeam that kisses his fur. But what truly sends his tail wagging is the thrill of a good game of fetch—tennis balls are his ultimate obsession!
Watch as he bounds through the grass, a blend of power and grace, his joyful spirit radiating warmth to everyone around him. In Cesar’s eyes, every moment is an adventure, and every human is a cherished friend. Cesar deserves to have a loving home.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process consist of filling out an agreement document that specifies the adopter will have the adopted animal vaccinated for rabies and spayed/neutered as needed, within an appropriate time period. Currently the adoption fee is $50, but $40 of that comes back in the form of a voucher than can be used at local veterinarians for the rabies vaccination and/or spay/neuter procedure.

Go meet their pets
