Meet Swiper – A Loyal, Playful Companion Ready for His New Home!

Swiper, a Texas rescue, may be a mix of Chihuahua, Shih Tzu, and Golden Retriever. He’s full of energy and loves fetch with his favorite ball and squeaky hamburger. Cuddly and affectionate, he enjoys being scratched on his back legs and thrives on attention. Swiper’s incredibly smart, learning commands like “sit,” “down,” and “go find your toys.”

While raised with another dog, he’s recently developed some protective tendencies, especially around food or when receiving affection. Due to this, we believe he’d do best in a home as the only dog, with someone who’s active, patient, and experienced with handling dogs with behavioral challenges.

Swiper is great with kids and kittens, but not smaller dogs. He’s loyal, loving, and needs a dedicated home where he can be the center of attention.
