My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 5 years
Weight: 5.6kg / 12.3lbs

She`s more than just number 1, it`s Uno! She`s a cat that knows what she likes and will let you know when she`s ready for some attention and pets. Uno is also pretty shy with new situations and people, so will need a calm, quiet family that can give her the space she needs to settle in and feel comfortable. There`s quite a playful and curious side to Uno; be sure to make play-time a regular part of your routine together! Having lived with another cat before, there`s a chance that she may get on with a resident cat, as long as they have a slow and proper introduction first! So what do you say; will Uno be the first cat to capture your heart today?

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
