Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This little girl is Darby. She was found as a stray in Cedar Rapids and an owner never came looking for her. When we found her she was missing most of her fur. The fur she had left was matted and her skin was red and infected. Darby had not had any care in a long time.
Darby was very itchy and had a skin scrape done at the vet. They quickly discovered the reason she was so itchy and uncomfortable, she had lice. Lice are species specific so a louse on a dog can’t live on a human. Darby was treated and the lice are gone, she is so much happier now. Her beautiful coat is growing back in.
Darby is about four years old and weighs just 13 pounds. She is very sweet and loving. She does well with other dogs but would also be happy being an only dog.
Darby is house trained, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped.
If you would like to meet Darby, please complete the adoption application on our website: www.furfunrescue.org. If you have questions about Darby you can contact rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657.
