Cookie is a sweet 8 year old, 13 lb. female Shih Tzu. She loves to sit in your lap or at your feet. Cookie is working on house training and walks well on a leash. She loves a schedule and is very good at telling you when it is time to do something like go out or eat. Cookie sleeps in her own bed, but would be willing to share yours. She is an escape artist and will climb a chain link fence, so needs someone who will walk her or has a privacy fence she won't be able to climb. We have recently learned that Cookie likes gentle children. This sweet Shih Tzu girl is fostering in the Northeast area of USA. Shih Tzu and Furbaby Rescue, Inc. is a national rescue organization that is dedicated to the rescuing and rehoming of toy purebred and mixed breed dogs. We accept dogs in need from shelters, other rescuers, and individuals giving up their pets for a variety of reasons. Our furbabies are examined and treated by our veterinarians, innoculated, and spayed or neutered before placement. They are also thoroughly temperament assessed. We believe that, somewhere, there is a home for every dog, but that we have a responsibility to place our dogs into homes that will best meet their needs, both physically and emotionally. We look for people with patience and loving hearts, and an understanding of the furbaby mind.
