Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cherry is a sweet little lady!

She loves to cuddle and chew. Like all ladies she loves a good pair of shoes, so put them up and replace them with stuffed animals. Cherry gets along with other dogs and people, but would be too big and bouncy for little kids...she has sharp puppy teeth and likes to gnaw on hands and toes. We've been training her to stop this by giving her a toy instead. She loves to cuddle at nap time and sleeps with her people at night. She is working on house training, with frequent trips outside. A fenced in yard is ideal . Since Cherry came from a situation where she was left for hours alone and in a crate, having an owner who is home frequently is a must.

Cherry is a small little pittie puppy. She weighs about 13 pounds and is almost 5 months old. We think that she will stay under 30 pounds when full grown.

Once approved and you agree the pet is right for you, sign the contract, pay the adoption fee and take your new family member home!

The Fayette County Humane Society (FCHS), staffed entirely by volunteers, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supported entirely by individual and corporate donations. Because we do not have a shelter, all of the animals we rescue live in temporary foster homes until they are adopted. We believe that all companion pets have intrinsic value and should be treated with the reverence and care they deserve.
