Dog Name: Bean
Breed: Terrier mix
Sex: male
Age: approx 1 year
Weight: 11 lbs
Medical Needs: None. Bean is already neutered. Heart worm negative and current on vaccines and preventatives.
Housebroken: Working on it. With routine he will be great. He has had two accidents which isn’t too bad in a two week period.
Crate trained: Yes! He LOVES his crate. He won’t go potty in it at all. He is a pack rat though, and will grab every stuffie, blanket, pillow, sweater, etc he can find and drag into his crate. The first night he whined a few minutes and that was it. Not a peep since.
Good in the car: Yes
Good on a leash: Yes! You can walk him with one finger (not suggested ) He will also happily jog with you.
Energy level: Medium - he gets the zoomies but then will happily play with a toy on the floor. He isn’t yappy at all.
Need a fenced in yard: No, but please keep him on a leash. He will bolt if he gets scared.
Dog Friendly: Yes!
If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive homes? Nope, but he loves to play!
Cat Friendly? Yes
Kid Friendly: Yes
If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed? Any age with supervision. He is a little fella so make sure small children are gentle with him. He is good natured and has been great with my grandson.
Special Traits: What can I say? This little guy is sooo stinking cute and friendly. He is a FUN, FUN little dude. He was a little shy when he first came, but that didn’t last long. He had an issue with going through doors when he first arrived. Weird, right? Whether going in or out, he hesitated and sometimes I had to pick him up. He is good with it now. He bulks at coming out of his crate and throws his paws playfully at you when you try to get him out. It’s a little came of “catch me if you can!” Dude you’re cornered. He is hysterical. He’s getting better with a treat or a few taps on the floor. He LOVES his crate. The other day I was calling and calling him, because I thought he went upstairs. Nope, laying in his crate playing with a toy, as he was laying on a throw pillow he had stolen. He was looking at me like “what dummy?” I love this little guy so much and I know his adopter will too!
