Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Fans of the tv show “Parks and Recreation” know that Duke Silver was the alias Ron Swanson used when playing saxophone at bars and nightclubs. Duke was a smooth talker who had fans swooning over his melodies and mustache. Our sweet Duke has his own fan club here at the shelter. While he’s not particularly musical, his sweet and easygoing demeanor has the volunteers swooning over him!
Here’s what a few of his fans have to say:
“Duke is an ABSOLUTE SWEETHEART and easy to walk and handle.”
“Duke is an absolute pleasure to spend time with. He is treat- motivated and has no problem letting you know he wants another snack. He gets along well with his mellow kennelmate and enjoys taking in and exploring all of the yard smells.”
“Duke is super easygoing, sweet, smart (knows sit and paw for treats), gentle, calm, affectionate, tolerant, playful, and a couch potato. I adore him!”
Staff have also shared that Duke is very calm, sweet, and easy to leash.
Duke came to the shelter after being hit by a car and he is waiting for a medical foster or adopter in order to have surgery on his leg. Did you know that if you foster a dog with medical needs that PACC covers all associated costs and then you get first dibs at adoption?
Duke does great with a kennelmate at the shelter and has been tolerant and independent when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit.
If you can give a calm and easygoing pup a loving furever home, come meet Duke today!
