My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Blue is a 3 year old blue tick beagle the arrived at our farm after being dumped by her previous owner, she's a sweet loving laptop at heart! She gets along well with both children (including infants) and all types of other animals (dogs, kittens, cats,
And chickens). She loves going on long adventure walks, but also loves a lazy afternoon nap. She has good manners inside and understands basic commands and her name. We have been working on crate training, however she is clever about escaping when no one is watching. She is scared of water from the hose, but doesn't mind a calm bath. We are simply rehoming her because we do not have the proper time to devote to her with 2 young children at home.

We place the dogs in the best home not the first home. Please be patient while we go over all apps and we will be in touch.

We are foster based. You must apply on Crossyourpaws.com first. If your application is chosen as the best fit for the dog we will move forward with the approval process. Once approved you will be setup with a time to meet the dog. Our dogs are all over the greater Pittsburgh area.

Here at Cross Your Paws Rescue, we are driven by a single goal; to save lives. We are doing our part in making the world a better place for all pets. Our decision to start a rescue is not one that we have taken lightly, it has come after years of volunteer work with other groups. Our goal is to make this world a place where starving, abused animals is a thing of the past. That shelters filled with dogs and cats waiting to be euthanized is unheard of. We want euthanasia to be something to help pets on their way to the Rainbow bridge not to end lives because of overpopulation. We vow to save every life that we can.
