My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VT

Good with dogs: Yes
Good with cats: Unknown, likely yes
Good with kids: Yes
Crate trained: Yes
House Trained: Working on it

Fletcher affectionately called “Fletch” by his foster family is a sweet, friendly and curious boy. He is a medium energy dog who loves to play just as much as he loves to nap. He would be a wonderful addition to any family who is ready to welcome a puppy and continue working on his basic training!

He is currently fostered in a multi dog household and does well playing with dogs of all ages, and sizes. He takes cues well, and easily entertains himself with toys when his doggy friends are all done playing. Fletcher loves to make new friends everywhere he goes, whether they be human or canine, he’s all in. Although he has not yet met cats, with his laid back disposition he would likely be fine with cats. He has adored all of the children he has met and happily sits for pets and belly rubs.

Fletcher is a smart boy and eager to please. He is learning “sit” and is excited to continue learning more basic commands. He is fully crate trained and sleeps soundly in his crate overnight. He is crated for a few hours during the day while his foster family is at work with a frozen treat. Fletcher is working on his house training, but with time, consistency and routine he will quickly master it. He is continuing to work on his leash walking skills and is improving every day.

With his unique coloring and beautiful smile, he'll surely have you falling in love with him- is Fletcher the missing piece in your family?

More about this rescue

Our mission at Last Hope K9 Rescue is to save every possible dog we can from being euthanized within high-volume kill shelters throughout the U.S.

As the literal “last hope” of nearly every animal we serve, we work tirelessly to place each one within a stable, loving environment that can act as either their forever home, or the gateway to their forever home. We also strive to ensure that all of our adoptions and foster placements are the optimal fit for everyone involved, including our dogs. This leads to our second goal: enriching human lives through canine companionship. To us, you can’t have one without the other.

Lastly, we promote animal welfare by lobbying important initiatives that both protect and give voice to the voiceless. By fostering an environment of collaboration with other organizations that share our goals, and working together instead of in competition, we find that we accomplish more.
