Vucko (pronounced Voocho) is a spunky puppy that knows how to deliver the fun! A little over three months old, his personality is really starting to emerge, and this guy has gusto! Whether he’s rolling around with the big dogs or chewing on a stuffie with reckless abandon, this pup knows how to live it up! Vucko plays hard and naps even harder.

Vucko is a big fan of other dogs – he gets along great with his siblings and his foster’s resident dogs. No actual exposure to cats, but given his friendliness toward all dogs and children, he should do fine with felines. He got to hangout with the neighborhood kids and enjoyed the interactions and demonstrated appropriate behavior. An ideal dog for a family with kids and/or other animals, he bonds quickly and has a lot of love to give.

Vucko is showing great strides in the potty-training department. He is currently being crated at night and for short stints during the day and is whoopsie-free but needs to go out immediately upon being let out. He has made such good progress he’s leveled up to furniture privileges during the day and seems to prefer the couch to the crate. He’ll need a little extra attention with leash work. Not a fan at the moment, but he is food-focused and that has proven to be a crucial motivator for this doggo. He’s still a puppy and shows all the promise of being a great companion. All this pup needs is a little time and consistency.

Vucko will fill your heart and home with infectious energy and endless entertainment.

More about this rescue

Our mission at Last Hope K9 Rescue is to save every possible dog we can from being euthanized within high-volume kill shelters throughout the U.S.

As the literal “last hope” of nearly every animal we serve, we work tirelessly to place each one within a stable, loving environment that can act as either their forever home, or the gateway to their forever home. We also strive to ensure that all of our adoptions and foster placements are the optimal fit for everyone involved, including our dogs. This leads to our second goal: enriching human lives through canine companionship. To us, you can’t have one without the other.

Lastly, we promote animal welfare by lobbying important initiatives that both protect and give voice to the voiceless. By fostering an environment of collaboration with other organizations that share our goals, and working together instead of in competition, we find that we accomplish more.
