Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Callisto is such a sweet guy looking for his perfect people. He is unique since he looks like an all white cat whose back end fell into some ink. Who doesn't love a dipstick tail and black dots?! He is hoping to find amazing adopters who understands that he's a little conflicted about meeting new people. He LOVES attention, but he has to take some time to make sure everyone is safe before he opens up. When Callisto is ready, he gives out gentle head bumps and calmly seeks out affection. He really enjoys scratches all along his back. If you scratch his back long enough he "dances around" on his back tippy toes.
Callisto warms up a little quicker when he's bribed with wet food and treats. He looks forward to his foster parents opening the closet door and excitedly paces when he hears the cans open. He is sweet and loyal to anyone who can spoil him with snacks! He sometimes even gets a little jealous when the attention is on a different kitty, and he will push his friends out of the way so he can be front and center.
He is a dainty cat and you can see it when he lightly bats at wand toys. He also enjoys the calmer things in life - like sitting in a big open window to sunbathe and watch the world go by. Since he can be on the timid side with new things, he may need some time to warm up to a new household. We think he would do best with another cat that can play with him and show him the ropes, or he could be potentially adopted with one of his foster friends! Since he's younger he has the potential to do well with cat-savvy dogs, with proper introductions. Since Callisto gets a little scared with sudden movement or loud noise, he might do better in an adult home or in a home with older children who can give him the space to adjust to a new environment. Callisto had a bit of a rough start to life. He is very ready to kick back and enjoy his new life with a loving forever family!
Callisto is about four months old. He has been neutered, dewormed, microchipped, vaccinated, flea treated, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. Are you that special person for this sweet boy? Please apply today!

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.
2.
Approve Application
We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.
3.
Interview
We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.
4.
Meet the Pet
Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.
5.
Sign Adoption Contract
At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!
6.

7.
Take the Pet Home
Additional adoption info
We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.
Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
