This lovely lady is Ivory, an adult cat with a striking white coat and charming brown tabby patches. Ivory is a bit of a free spirit, and while she enjoys attention, she’d really thrive in a home where she can enjoy the great outdoors. Whether as an outdoor cat or an indoor/outdoor companion, Ivory loves to explore, stretch out in the sun, and embrace her independence.

She’s perfect for someone looking for a cat who’s a little more low-maintenance and enjoys some freedom, while still having a loving home base to come back to.

If you’re looking for a companion who’ll soak up nature and bring some joy to your yard or home, Ivory is the cat for you! 🌳🐱

Her adoption fee is $75 and she comes spayed, current on vaccines, dewormed, flea prevention, and microchipped.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption fees for dogs includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines, de-wormer, flea and tick prevention, heart worm prevention, heart worm tested, and microchip registration.

Adult Dogs: $200
Puppies: $225

Cat adoption fees include spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines, de-wormer, FIV/FeLV testing, flea and tick prevention, and microchip registration.

Adult Cats: $75 (or $125 for a pair)
Kittens: $90 (or $150 for a pair)

Since 1979, the Effingham County Humane Society has been committed to serving Effingham County, IL and the surrounding area. We are located in the former Funkhouser School, and our non-profit shelter is sustained by volunteers, fundraising, contributions, and adoption fees.

The goal of the Effingham County Humane Society is to reduce animal suffering in our county through educating and promoting responsible pet ownership, including spaying/neutering pets, appropriate pet identification, proper pet care, and the quality adoption of homeless pets.
