My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sex: Male

Breed: German Shepherd x

Estimated Date of Birth : 08/28/2021

Shy, quiet and unassuming Caleb is an absolute sweetheart of a dog. We think hes gorgeous with his brown coat and black eyeliner but sadly in the sea of brown dogs in our public shelters he just didn’t stand out. Hovering towards the back of his kennel bringing little attention to himself. But we saw what a gem this sweet boy was. He’s the type of dog that would fit in with almost any family. Just a good boy waiting to have his chance. So a chance is what he’s getting and we hope you’ll see what an amazing dog he will be!

Caleb was found in a very rural area of Kern County. He sat at the shelter quietly for over a month. Hoping his family would come but they never did. Hoping adopters would see he was a good boy but that wasn’t noticed. He waited and hoped and then his time was finally up. With so much shelter overcrowding dogs don’t get long and Caleb was euthanasia listed. A good dog who just didn’t stand out enough to get noticed. But that’s where rescues come in. We see those good dogs and give them the chance they need.

Caleb has settled right in to foster care and hit the ground running. He quickly bonded with his foster family and is super affectionate and people oriented. He’s done well with mellow respectful dogs and avoids the overly rambunctious playful pups. His foster family is working on building up his confidence in new environments and we know he’s going to be a well adjusted dog in no time. If you’re looking to give a great dog a chance Caleb hopes you’ll consider adopting him!
