My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sex: Female

Breed: Pit Bull Terrier

Estimated Date of Birth : 08/31/2019

Stacy has a smile that will completely light up a room and the unstoppable spirit of a dog who has seen too much during her time on this earth. But her past does not define her and Stacy is showing us what it means to live life! Shes a joyous girl who loves to do zoomies and play with her canine friends. She craves human affection and has a tail that never stops wagging. Humans may not have always been kind to her but she holds no grudges and chooses to love with her entire heart despite a past littered with pain. She is everything we love about bully breeds and she deserves the happy ending she almost didn’t get.

Stacy came into our County shelter mentally beaten down and physically used. The product of breeding she’d obviously had multiple litters and came in with pups from her most recent litter. Her pups all had adoption interest but no one wanted the imperfect momma dog. Add to that her breed and dark coat color and Stacy was destined to never make it out alive. We couldn’t let that happen to such a resilient girl and with the yes of an amazing foster home Stacy got her chance!

Never looking back Stacy has embraced everything good foster care brings. She’s adapted quickly but sadly we still see remnants of her sad past. She startles easy with fast unexpected movements and can be head shy at times. We’re determined to show her not all humans are bad and the longer she’s in our care her walls are coming down and her personality is shining through. Stacy would love an adoptive family committed to giving her the life and forever she’s never had. A family open to loving her in a way she’s never experienced but always deserved. We can guarantee that one look into her sweet smiling face and you’re going to be as hooked on Stacy as we are.
