My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sex: Female

Breed: Pit Bull Terrier

Estimated Date of Birth : 09/11/2021

She was the type of dog we couldn’t leave behind, wiggling with the potential for new life. She was full of kisses and joy and had no idea that her time had run out. The precious lives she held safely in her belly were at risk of never having the bright future she hoped they would have. Such is the fate of thousands of shelter mommas across the country. Pregnant because humans are irresponsible but still hopeful they and their babies will get a 2nd chance. We saw Millys happy little spirit. We saw the hope in her eyes. She was the sweetest of girls and that sweetness deserved life!

Milly was picked up as a stray by our county shelter. Already very pregnant her only hope of exciting the shelter alive was through rescue. Rescues everywhere are all so incredibly full Milly’s chances were slim. A black pregnant pittie just isn’t what people are looking for. But we saw this incredible sweet and social girl and we gave her the chance no one else could. Milly and her unborn babies were given the gift of life!

Just a few short weeks in our care and Milly’s babies are now earth side. Her sweet spirit has continued and she’s an amazing momma dog. Caring for her puppies carefully and still open and happy for all human interaction. Not a mean bone in this little girl’s body. Once her motherhood duties are complete she’s going to be a fantastic family dog. A lot of momma dogs are as they are naturally caring and nurturing. Although Milly still has a few weeks to care for her puppies we are ready to take early applications. Such a good girl deserves the best of families and we hope if you’re looking you’re that good family she needs.
