My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sex: Female

Breed: Pitbull

Estimated Date of Birth : 07/17/2021

A lover of all things people Rain defines the beauty of the pitbull breed. This girl is gorgeous and an absolute sweetheart too. She’s got those pittie wiggles down and is ready to shower you with every ounce of love your heart can handle. Now we know you’re going to ask about other dogs. She’s good with them too just needs the appropriate introductions to make sure her size and energy level doesn’t overwhelm them. Once intros are done it’s all about the play and she’s ready to have a great time with her canine pals.

This beautiful girl like so many other pitties found herself lingering at our county shelter. She’d been picked up as a stray in Shafter, a smaller more rural city in Kern County, and surprise surprise no one came for her. Once she was euthanasia listed for space we got her out saving her life. Pitties already have the decks stacked against them and we knew Rain needed a little more help being seen so she’s joined the Pawsitive Change crew at Tehachapi State prison.

Rain will be in the prison training program for 3 months. While in she’ll get a solid foundation in basic obedience tasks and learn the things most adopters want in an adoptable dog. She’s an energetic girl so this training will help her balance her energy and gain the manners all good dogs need. If you’ve been looking for a beauty with brains and the training to back it up look no further cause Rain just might be your girl!
