My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sex: Female

Breed: Miniature Pinscher x

Estimated Date of Birth : 10/05/2021

Lillian (Lilly) is the bestest girl! Shes seriously what so many look for in an adopted dog. Beyond sweet, calm, nondestructive, easy. She gets along perfectly with both humans and dogs alike. She’s the type of dog that never looks for conflict and is happy no matter what life throws her way. She just goes with the flow and adjusts because life is too short to be complicated. But sadly complicated is exactly what Lilly’s short life has become.

Lilly was adopted approximately 2 years ago. Everything was good until it wasn’t. About 6 months ago Lillian developed female incontinence issues. The adopter took her to a couple of vets but ultimately decided the incontinence wasn’t something she could deal with long term so Lilly was returned to us. Lilly lucked out and landed right back with the foster family who originally fostered her. She spent several weeks seeing our vet and monitoring her bloodwork and we now have a diagnosis. Lilly has Protein losing nephropathy (PLN). Essentially it’s a form of kidney disease. It will never go away but can be treated with a combination of prescription foods and medication. She will likely always have a bit of urinary incontinence but sporting cute little pants helps to manage that issue.

Lilly is fantastic with dogs of all sizes and loves children. She has a sweet and calm temperament and is as quiet as a mouse. Shes a very easy girl, even with the incontinence issue, and her personality would work for any adoptive situation. Shes just a kind dog hoping that an equally kind family can help her manage her medical issue, love her forever and give her the life she’s always deserved.
