My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Joni (named after Joni Mitchell) is the world’s sweetest dog. She’s 9lbs and a chihuahua-pom mix that loves pets, scratches, and sunbathing. We fostered her in 2021 and then quickly fell in love, adopting her within weeks.

Sadly in early 2024 we discovered she had a herniated disk that required surgery. She had spine surgery and fought hard to recover, but unfortunately had another disk issue in September 2024 that led to a second surgery. This time, Joni sadly no longer has feeling in her back legs and paws, and needs assistance with using the bathroom.

She’s still so loving and sweet and makes you melt when you meet her. We’re so sad that we’re unfortunately no longer able to take care of her, but hope to find her a new loving home.
