Meet Ferris! Age: 8 months. Breed: vizsla. Size: est 45lbs currently, we estimate 60ish lbs when full grown. Training: crate and leash trained, he is doing well with house training. He hasn't had many life experiences and will need a patient owner to guide him how to be the awesome companion we know he has the potential to be! Good with dogs/cats? LOVES other dogs. Ignores cats. He needs another dog to show him the ropes. He has never known life without another dog, and really looks to other dogs for guidance. Good with men/women/kids? Ferris would do best in a home without kids. Personality: friendly, curious, playful. Reason for rescue: breeder release. Ferris has not had the greatest start at life, and needs continued training and socialization. He has shown signs of resource guarding occasionally, and will need an experienced owner to help him become the wonderful companion we know he can be! He does great with other dogs, but has also shown signs of being dominant sometimes. He needs proper guidance, and continued socialization and training. Ferris is neutered, heartworm negative, microchipped, and current on vaccinations and preventatives. He is fostered in Alexandria, Virginia.
