My name is Callahan!

***Please Note: Another dog and a fenced in yard is required*** Meet Callahan! Breed: mini goldendoodle. Age: est 1 year, approx birthdate July 2023. Weight: 30lbs. Training: crate trained, we are working on house and leash training. He will need continued training as he hasn't had many life experiences. Good with other dogs/cats? Yes, LOVES other dogs. In fact, we think he'd do best with another dog to teach him the ropes. Good with adults/kids? Yes, shy at first but he warms up to be sweet, loyal, and playful. Personality: submissive/shy, once he warms up he is affectionate and playful. Reason for rescue: breeder release, retiring. Callahan adores other dogs and we feel he would do best with another confident, friendly dog to show him the ropes! He has so much potential. He is looking for someone to give his heart to. He MUST go to a home with a fence and/or another dog. Callahan is neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and current on vaccinations and preventatives. Callahan has a history of seizures (2) and currently takes Keppra daily. Our vet believes he has epilepsy that is triggered by stress. His medication is approximately $30/month, and he will be sent home with a couple of months worth of medication. Our vet believes he may eventually be able to wean off of medications, once he has transitioned to his new life & has gained confidence, so that new situations aren't so stressful for him.
