Hi, I'm Spartacus! I'm a goofy good boy looking for my new perfect forever home! My goofy grin will make you smile every day. I'm a smart boy, I already know some commands (I can sit and shake!) and I can't wait to learn more (especially if you have some treats! Those are the best.) I love to ride in the car too! I hope we can go on some adventures together. I've lived with other dogs before, but if you have one, I'd love to meet them before adoption to make sure we get along! More about this shelter

The Woodford Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal organization located in Versailles, Kentucky. We provide shelter and care to the homeless and unwanted animals in Woodford County, surrounding counties, as well as animals from other states. We care for pets of all breeds and ages, with no time limit on their stay, and we are proud to maintain an annual placement rate of over 95%.

With no government funding, we are completely dependent on private contributions to continue to provide care to around a thousand animals each year.

Adoption fees include spay or neuter surgery, vaccinations and deworming while at our Adoption Center, feline leukemia and FIV screening for cats, heartworm screening for dogs, a microchip with a lifetime registration, a free veterinary checkup, and a starter bag of food.
