For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
Ebony Joy's basic bio is below, but we maintain more detailed information about each of our animals on our website, which is also always up to date with animals removed immediately once they are adopted. Please visit Ebony Joy's page on our site (https://www.muddypawsrescue.org/adoptable?dog=008010) to learn even more about Ebony Joy!
Additionally, please note that the breed listed for Ebony Joy is just our best guess based on the dog's physical features. We cannot make any guarantees about the accuracy of our guesses.
PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO VOLUME, WE ARE GENERALLY UNABLE TO RESPOND TO INQUIRIES MADE USING THE 'ASK ABOUT ME' BUTTON. Please reach out to us directly using the contact information on our website: www.muddypawsrescue.org.
Joy is a compact, wiggly, fuzzy bowling-ball of love!
This grumbly gremlin is a veritable cuddle-tank. Moo-ve aside, Moo-Deng, this girl is the pygmy couch hippo of your dreams!
Weighing in at a dainty 46 pounds on a 12-inch frame, if you like rolly polly cuddles, constant affection, and the soft sounds of piggy/puppy snoring, then Joy is the perfect velvet potato for you.
Don't let her muscles fool you - this girl is all love and mushy sweetness. Sometimes we worry that she will wiggle her butt off from all her tail wagging.
Joy is the perfect fall companion; she likes (short) walks in the park, enjoys car rides, but ultimately prefers snuggling with (and preferably on) you. Bonus fall fact: she is roughly the size and shape of a large pumpkin.
She is a great work-from-home companion, happy to provide you a background soundtrack of grunts and grumbles from the nearest couch while you work. When she's not singing her soothing songs of snoozy snores, she likes to gnaw on her stick chews, chase a ball (over short distances), and demand pets. She absolutely loves dropping her soft bulk against you to demand pets, crawling partially into your lap for head scritches, and flipping onto her back for belly rubs. Joy also enjoys falling into a state of zen from deep-tissue shoulder massages.
Joy is well accustomed to the city. She seems unfazed by trucks, trains, and motorcycles.
