Meet Denny, a 2-year-old pit/shepherd mix. Denny was rescued from a rural shelter`s E-list, as they were out of space. He was found with an injured leg, roaming a parking lot. Denny has a big pumpkin head and an even bigger heart. He enjoys sitting outside in the morning, playing with toys, or sitting with his head in your lap for rubbing. Denny is good with dogs of all sizes, but due to his size and playfulness, he may be best with bigger dogs. He takes his cues from other dogs, so a home with another dog would be great. He is okay with cats, but seems pretty scared of them, so a cat-free home is probably best. He has been great with any person he meets. He’s not a huge barker but occasionally barks outside to let you know he is taking care of the house. He hasn’t had any accidents after the first few days and uses his crate to eat meals and rest while I’m out. He walks gently on a leash. He’s about 54lbs but still underweight (definitely not picky with his food). It’s obvious Denny had a rough beginning to life, but he is adorable and deserves the best forever home.
