Hi there! I'm Zoomer! I'm a sweet and friendly beagle boy! You wouldn't guess it based on my gentle personality, but I was actually rescued by Beagle Freedom Project from an animal testing laboratory. Many people don't know that animal testing involves experimentation on innocent dogs like me; did you? Now that I'm free, I'm loving my new life. I adore people, am good with other dogs, and have so much fun playing with toys. I'm even learning how to walk on a leash and really enjoying it so far! Overall, I'm a pretty easygoing pup. I'm still scared of new things as this is the first time in my life that I've ever gotten to be a normal dog... but I promise to love my adopter more than anything, especially as they help me gain more confidence! Could you give me my forever home?

Interview
If your application is approved, you will be contacted by our team for a pre-adoption interview.

Home Check
After your pre-adoption interview, you will join a video call with our team to complete a virtual home check.
4.
Take the Pet Home
Once your interview, home check, and reference checks are complete, you will pick up your new companion to begin an adoption trial.
5.
Sign Adoption Contract
If, after an adoption trial, you decide that your new companion is your perfect match, you will then sign the adoption contract.

ABOUT OUR ADOPTION PROCESS: Standardly, Beagle Freedom Project does not facilitate animal meet and greets. Instead, we begin all BFP adoptions with a trial-period; this is called ‘fostering-to-adopt’. At BFP, we believe that the best way for an adopter to be certain that an animal is their perfect match is by giving them an opportunity to truly know each other before finalizing an adoption. As BFP animals come from such traumatic pasts, they can often be shy upon a first meeting. Foster-to-adopt trials allow these special animals an opportunity to decompress and show their authentic personality before an official adoption decision is made.
