My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Your New Best Friend!

Are you looking for a loyal companion who loves nothing more than to be by your side? Meet Rockie, our adorable Velcro dog! This sweet pup has a gentle temperament and thrives on snuggles and affection.

About Him:

Personality: Timid at first but very affectionate once he gets acclimated.

Likes: Sitting close, cuddling, being your shadow, getting hair brushed, belly rubs, meal time and walks.

Ideal Home: A loving family or individual who enjoys quiet moments together. He doesn't like a lot of excitement (there is a reason most of his pictures are on a chair). He would do best in an adult only home, ideally with a retired person or someone who is home more often than not. He loves women.

*He is a barker and would not do well in a condo/apartment/townhome with shared walls. He would do best in a single family home.

He is 7 years old, good with other dogs, potty trained, and is working on crate training. He is about 18 lbs, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. He is in St. Pete and his adoption fee is $300.

More about this rescue

We are a non-breed specific dog rescue group, although we do tend to take in mostly large and extra-large breeds, and especially those in the hunting / sporting groups.

Love for Paws exists to protect and advocate for dogs in our community through responsible adoption, the donation of supplies and veterinary care to those in need, by assisting in the effort to limit the overpopulation of these animals and by promoting kindness and healthy opportunity for life.
