My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet darling little Gabby! Gabby is a one year old miniature poodle ready to make her mark in the PNW! Gabby is learning how good life is off the farm and that she won't be subjected to relentless breeding and tiny cages. She will now know the loving warmth of a family to call her own. Gabby is only about 16 pounds but with a heart of a big dog.

Gabby has a few health issues that shouldn't slow her down; a bit of vision impairment, so being careful approaching her and movement around her head to not "surprise" her, so a home without small children might be best, and a non-surgical hip complication meaning she would be most comfortable in a home with fewer stairs for easy access and movement. She should live a long life without complications with attention to her needs. She loves hanging out with her poodle foster sibling, learning about the good life.

Gabby will be spayed soon, but is ready to go home now with a contract to ensure her spay at our vet (included in her adoption fee).

More about this rescue

We are a committed group of dog lovers who have decades of experience in dog rescue, volunteering at animal shelters and owning rescue dogs. Most recently, our two founders, have been working with rescuing dogs from Mexico and the Asian dog meat trade as well as California kill shelters, Midwest puppy mill breeder releases and rehoming owner surrendered dogs in Washington and Oregon.

Deciding that we are able to rescue more by combining forces, Pacific Rim Rescue was formed. Our mission is to rescue dogs from devastating conditions from countries of the Pacific Rim.

We are committed to providing foster homes, veterinary and behavioral training for these dogs, so that they may live happy and fulfilling lives in their forever homes.
