My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Cinnamon, a beautiful and resilient 2-year-old cat who is ready to find her forever home. This gorgeous girl has had a tough start to life and is still learning to trust people. She needs a patient, devoted owner who understands that she takes time to warm up. Cinnamon will let you know when she feels overwhelmed, but with time, she does begin to relax and show her sweet side.

She has done well in her foster home once she got used to her surroundings, and she would thrive in a calm, quiet space where she can feel safe. Cinnamon prefers to be the only pet, allowing her the peaceful environment she needs to decompress and feel secure. If you're looking for a companion who will blossom with patience and care, Cinnamon could be the perfect fit. Give this lovely girl the chance she deserves to trust and love again!

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
