My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dini, a delightful 9-month-old Cane Corso mix with a heart full of love! This happy girl has impeccable manners and is ready to find her forever home. Dini thrives best with an experienced owner who understands her breed and can help her flourish.

While Dini enjoys the company of some dogs, she has specific preferences and may be best suited to a home without other pets. She isn't fond of felines, so a cat-free environment would be ideal. This will allow her to receive all the attention she deserves and work on her socialization skills.

Though Dini has only three legs, she's as quick as a bunny and hardly lets that slow her down! She may tire out more easily than other pups, but her spirit is unbreakable. A true snuggle bug at heart, Dini has already mastered the "sit" command and is eager to learn more.

Dini will need a procedure for her cherry eyes, so she is looking for a loving foster home for now. Ideally, we hope to find a foster-to-adopt situation, where her new family can help her heal and prepare for a wonderful future together.

It's important to note that Dini does experience some separation anxiety, so she would benefit from a stable environment and gradual adjustments to being alone.

If you're looking for a loving companion who will fill your life with joy, Dini is ready to bring her warmth and affection into your home. Are you ready to give Dini the loving home she deserves?

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
