Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Taro!
This pretty pup arrived at HSoP as a stray, so we unfortunately don't know much about her history. She's been a delight since day one though, so we're sure it won't be long before she steals the heart of her new forever home!
Despite her puppy-like personality and appearance, we estimate Taro to be around 3 or 4 years old. She still acts as spry as you'd imagine any lab to be! Playing fetch is her favorite past time, and if you don't offer her a tennis ball first, she'll be offering one to you! The smile seen in these photos is what you can expect from Taro at least 80% of the time.
She's en extroverted, enthusiastic, and smart dog who already knows the basics of "sit", "stay", and "down". The more she can practice and build on these skills, the better! Taro seems incredibly eager to please so we believe she would get a big kick out of continued training in her new home. She is a very energetic girl and will require daily walks or access to a secure outdoor area to ensure she's getting enough exercise.
It's unknown if Taro has ever shared a home with cats, dogs, or children, so we cannot say how she behaves around them in a home setting. We do offer a seven-day foster period with each adoption, which can help determine if it's a good fit for the whole family. We also require all dogs to meet any dogs in the home prior to adoption.
At this point, it's unclear is Taro is already spayed or not. She's scheduled to be checked and spayed (if needed) on Wednesday October 2nd, and will be ready to go home following this. Taro can still have visitors and accept applications in the meantime! We'll make sure she's microchipped and current on vaccines before leaving the shelter, too. Her adoption fee is $135.
Get to know Taro and our other adoptable dogs between 2-5pm Monday through Saturday. No appointments needed! We hope to see you soon at 2019 E White Ave Moscow, ID 83843.
