My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maggie loves car rides! She is a total people pleaser, she's gentle with treats, can sit on command, and the best part about her is, she loves kids. When she wakes up in the morning, she darts out of her kennel straight to find the kids to give them kisses and cuddles. Maggie has a lot of energy and thrives in a home where she can be the only pet. She is not good with cats or other dogs, but her kind demeanor and loving temperament make her a wonderful companion for people. She seldom barks, is non-aggressive to everyone she meets, and her favorite thing to do is be dogpiled by her human foster siblings for cuddles.

Go meet their pets

Our pets are currently in foster homes as well as we have a program with the local women's prison. With the prison the animals live in the room with the inmate handler and receive socialization and training. We have just recently added dogs to our program with the prison. Generally the pets are brought to our office for their meet and greets and adoptions. We also partner with Ziggy's Cat Lounge in Bremerton for our cats and kittens.

We are a small but mighty Humane Society serving an underserved county with adoption, spay and neuter, wellness, stray recovery, and other animal related services. Currently we are all foster as we don't have a shelter yet, but we have a 5 acre parcel we are going to build a shelter on. We have started the planning process with Shelter Planners of America.
