Meet our snuggly lovebug, June! June is a tiny girl with a lot of love to give. Her favorite place in the world is snuggled up with her person. Looking for a shadow? June is your girl! She would like nothing more than to find a forever family who will shower her with affection and give her lots of treats.
June is currently being fostered in a home with two other dogs, three cats, and three children. She loves the dogs and the kids, but would prefer a forever family without any feline friends.
June is about 90% potty trained - she’s only had a couple accidents in her foster home, but isn’t quite to the point where she is asking to go out on her own. June would benefit from continued structure and a solid routine in this area, and she’ll be perfect in no time!
June *loves* going for adventures, no matter what the weather is like. Despite her small size and bully stature, she’s surprisingly athletic! She doesn’t need a ton of exercise to be content, but I could easily see her being a great casual hiking buddy. June loves car rides, and will jump right into the car at any opportunity.
June has a little bit of FOMO. She’s calm and content in her crate, and doesn’t show any signs of separation anxiety when left alone, but if you’re home, she wants to be where the people are, and doesn’t like missing out on the action. Who can blame her?
June allows handling all over and is great for baths - she will even hop into the tub for you! Baths mean she has your undivided attention, so June is all about it! June knows the cues sit, kennel, touch, and off, takes treats gently, is learning to walk nicely on a leash and is making rapid progress in all her training. She’s learned a lot in a very short time! She occasionally barks at adult passers-by, but warms up to people quickly once she’s introduced.
June is an incredible dog and I am so excited to see her thrive in her forever home. June can be adopted solo, or with her boyfriend Johnny.
