For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
This bonded pair is SO much fun! Mama Lupine is a young female, just a kitten herself at 7 or 8 months of age. And we're 99.9% sure Baby Blackberry is also a female.
Adopting two kitties at the same time -- especially kitties who are so bonded -- can be a wonderful experience for everybody as the kitties can sleep, eat and play together when their people aren't home. This makes for well-adjusted grownup cats, and it doubles your fun as you watch them scamper around the house chasing toys and each other.
Lupine and Blackberry are both very active and playful and love attention and playtime. They'd really love adopters who are home most of the time to snuggle with them and help them get settled and happy. They both use the litterbox beautifully!
Their favorite thing is to slap at any loose string on clothing or chase after a piece of twine. Easy!
We're recommending a home with no kids under the age of 10 because the kittens are still learning their kitty parameters when around humans.
These cuties are being fostered in the Boulder area, and their amazing foster mom says the kittens really need more room to roam than the small space they're now in. She says the sooner they find their forever family, the better!
For more info and/or to apply to adopt Lupine and Blackberry, send us an email at SummitDogRescue@gmail.com, telling us a bit about yourself, your home environment and your lifestyle. A volunteer will get back to you shortly. Thanks.

If everyone agrees this is a good match, the board approves the adoption.

Additional adoption info
First you must fill out an application which we will review. Then we will do a phone interview, reference check and finally a home visit before a dog is placed in your home. We ONLY adopt to homes where the dog is an indoor dog, part of the family and treated as such. We stress excellent nutrition, proper training and follow up with all our adopters.
We are probably have one of the more thorough and difficult adoption processes... and we love that people want to adopt and don't want to discourage adopters! So please, if you're in a hurry, or not an exceptional furever home - please try other rescues or a SHELTER is a great option too!
